Debra A. Crew is president and CEO of RAI, having assumed the role on Jan. 1, 2017 and previously served as president and chief operating officer of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, RAI's largest subsidiary. She is also a member of the RAI board.

Crew was appointed president and chief commercial officer of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company on Oct. 1, 2014, and her title changed to president and chief operating officer a year later. Prior to joining R.J. Reynolds, Crew was the president and general manager of PepsiCo North America Nutrition. She joined PepsiCo in 2010 as president of the Western Europe region of PepsiCo Europe. In 2012, she was named president of PepsiCo Americas Beverage, and in 2014, she was appointed president and general manager of PepsiCo North America Nutrition.

Prior to joining PepsiCo, Crew was general manager of grocery brands and U.S. pet-care products for Mars, Incorporated. Before joining Mars, she held a number of marketing positions at both Nestle S.A. and Kraft Foods, Inc.

Crew served in the U.S. Army from 1993 to 1997, rising to the rank of captain and military intelligence officer. She serves on the board of directors of Stanley Black & Decker, Inc.

A native of San Antonio, Texas, Crew has a bachelor’s degree in international studies from the University of Denver and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago.

Lisa J. Caldwell is executive vice president and chief human resources officer for Reynolds American Inc. (RAI) and subsidiary RAI Services Company.

Caldwell joined RAI's largest subsidiary, R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, in 1991 as manager of employment practices. Between 1993 and 1995, she served as a personnel manager for the company's manufacturing division and later for its engineering department. She was promoted to director of human resources in 1996, and managed various human-resources programs including strategic planning prior to becoming vice president of human resources in January 2002. Caldwell became senior vice president of human resources for RAI and R.J. Reynolds in 2006, and was promoted to executive vice president -human resources of both companies in June 2008. In January, 2010, she became executive vice president and chief human resources officer for RAI and RAI Services. Caldwell was named to Black Enterprise magazine's 2012 100 Most Powerful Executives in Corporate America listing.

Before joining Reynolds Tobacco, Caldwell's experience included working as an attorney for two firms in Winston-Salem, N.C. – Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, and West and Banks.

She serves on the Board of Visitors for Wake Forest University Schools of Business and is a board member for Winston-Salem Industries for the Blind. She is a lifetime member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and a member of The Links Incorporated and The Moles, Inc.

A native of Burlington, N.C., Caldwell earned a juris doctor degree in 1986 from Wake Forest University School of Law, where she was a Wake Forest Law Scholar. She was also a Morehead Scholar and earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1983.

Andrew D. Gilchrist is RAI's chief financial officer and an executive vice president, as well as chief information officer for RAI Services Company.

He became chief financial officer on March 1, 2015 after being promoted to the position of executive vice president on Oct. 1, 2014.

Prior to this, he was president and chief commercial officer of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, a subsidiary of Reynolds American Inc. (RAI), from Jan. 1, 2011.

Prior to those promotions, he was executive vice president and chief financial officer for R.J. Reynolds and chief information officer of RAI Services.

Gilchrist began his career in 1994 as a sales representative with Helene Curtis. In 1997 he joined Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corporation (B&W) as a management trainee. He later held a number of management positions at B&W and its parent company, British American Tobacco. On July 30, 2004, R.J. Reynolds and the U.S. operations of B&W were combined, and Reynolds American became R.J. Reynolds' new parent company. Gilchrist is a board member of the Winston-Salem Alliance.

A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Gilchrist earned a bachelors degree in economics from Purdue University and a master's degree in business administration from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve.

Daniel J. Herko was appointed executive vice president of research and development at R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and executive vice president of RAI Services Company, managing scientific and regulatory affairs for RAI's subsidiaries, on Oct. 1, 2015.

Prior to this, he was senior vice president of research and development at R.J. Reynolds. Herko joined R.J. Reynolds in 1980 in the manufacturing division. After holding a variety of production positions in manufacturing, he became research and development international brand manager in 1992.

In 2000, he joined Japan Tobacco International in Geneva, Switzerland, following the sale of RJR Nabisco Holdings Corp.'s international tobacco business to Japan Tobacco.

In 2002, Herko returned to R.J. Reynolds as director of product development in the company's R&D department. He was promoted to senior director of product development in 2005, and became vice president of reduced risk and applied development in R&D the following year. He assumed his current position in March 2008. He serves on the board of Riverwood Therapeutic Riding Center in Tobaccoville, N.C.

A native of Rochester, N.Y., Herko holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from High Point University and a master's degree in business administration from Wake Forest University.

Cressida Lozano is executive vice president of consumer marketing for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company (R.J. Reynolds), the largest subsidiary of Reynolds American Inc. (RAI). She was appointed to this position on March 1, 2016.

From 2002 to 2016, Lozano served as vice president and senior vice president in a variety of consumer and trade marketing roles across R.J. Reynolds and Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company. She was also seconded to British American Tobacco, where she served as head of brands for the Kent brand. She joined R.J. Reynolds in 1996 as a marketing assistant and worked in numerous domestic and international roles. She serves as chairman of the Santa Fe Natural Foundation.

Lozano is a native of the United Kingdom. She earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Tufts University and a master’s degree in business administration from Wake Forest University.
